The building tools

Students are able to experience not just the pride that comes with sharing an end product, but the joyful process of making itself.

The Invention Engine building tools make it simple to integrate electronics to cardboard.

Building tools help to plan, build, and iterate inventions.

The Invention Engine building tools make reusing the electronic Invention Engine bits easy. In addition, using cardboard, which is inexpensive and readily replaceable frees students up to ‘have a crack’ and see if their ideas will work without the pressure of limited materials.

The building tools have been thoughtfully designed to provide students with a safe and robust system to build with cardboard and transform their ideas into inventions.

Inner Punch Tool

The Invention Engine punch tools are used for punching holes in cardboard. Use the punch tool along with the stencil to attach the Invention Engine bits and the hub to cardboard.

The inner punch tool is used with the stencil to create perforated lines in cardboard that can easily be pushed out.

The various Invention Engine bits can then fit through these pushed out sections.

Outer Punch Tool

The Invention Engine punch tools are used for punching holes in cardboard. Use the punch tool along with the stencil to attach the Invention Engine bits and the hub to cardboard.

The outer punch tool is used to punch holes for the rivets through the cardboard.

Use the stencil to create a pattern of indentations, then using the indentations as a guide, punch holes through the cardboard.
